Join us for Lay Mission-Helpers' Rose Gala at Luminarias in Monterey Park on November 2, 2019, from 4 - 8 p.m. Surrounded by breathtaking views of the San Gabriel Valley by day, and illuminated by dazzling lanterns by night, Luminarias is an enchanting location to celebrate our Friends of Mission. The evening will include cocktails, fine dining and a silent auction to benefit LMH.
This year's keynote speaker will be Mr. Joe Estevez, a successful actor and filmmaker who, inspired by his Catholic faith, commits himself to bring positive change to the lives of others. He hosts the NYC Faith Film Fest and, for the past six years, the TV show “All Things Catholic“ for DeSales Media in Brooklyn, New York.
LMH will also present the annual Ernst Ophuls Award to Mary Anne Cannavan, a veteran Lay Mission-Helper who served in Sierra Leone and Marshall Islands. The St. Therese of Lisieux Award will be awarded to Fr. Michael Reardon, pastor of St. Bartholomew Church in Long Beach.
